Call Of Duty Ballistic Knives
With less than a week to go before Zombies Chronicles brings back a greatest-hits list of Call of Duty Zombies maps, a new patch has gone live for Black Ops III. Patch 1.22 will take up just over 2 gigs of space on your hard drive, and while 'Zombies Chronicles support' is the first and main point of the patch, there are a number of significant changes accompanying the patch as well. One of the changes, which we'll note at the end of the short patch notes, makes a pretty significant change to a popular one-hit kill weapon. Read on to see what patch 1.22 brings:
GLOBAL:
- Mar 19, 2017 - Embed Tweet. BALLISTIC KNIFE in Black Ops 3! (Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Ballistic Knife): via @YouTube.
- A ballistic knife is a knife with a detachable blade that can be ejected to a distance of several yards by pressing a trigger or operating a lever or switch on the handle. Spring-powered ballistic knives briefly gained notoriety in the United States in the mid-1980s after commercial examples were marketed and sold in the United States and other Western countries.
The ballistic knife is very useless, because if you had better guns, you'd have to revive people less. I've never gotten the PaPed Crossbow, I thought is was just a pile of poo like the PaPed Ballistic knife.
(PS4 ONLY) Zombies Chronicles Support (available May 16)
MULTIPLAYER:
General:
This update addresses a number of general performance issues.
Black Market:
Unopened Supply Drop bundles will now remain in the Black Market after the events have ended.
Supply Drops that had disappeared have been returned to players’ inventories.
Frontend:
Attachment Icons will load more quickly in Create-a-Class and Gunsmith menus.
Addressed an exploit that allowed users to equip some camos before unlocking them.
Weapons:
Ballistic Knife
Ballistic Knife blades are now recoverable.
Ballistic Knife now properly registers headshots with the Kill Counter or Clan Tag attachments equipped.
So yo caught that at the end, right? Ballistic knife blades can now be picked up like throwing knives if you miss your shot. This will more than likely make the ballistic knife a much more popular weapon, and will enable players to use them more aggressively, since running out of blades won't be as big of a concern. Of course, in close-quarters we doubt that anyone will have time to stroll over to the spot where the blade rests, pick it up, and reload in the heat of battle, but it's nice to know that you have that option now.
We'll have more Black Ops III coverage for you in the coming days, especially as we near the approach of Zombies Chronicles on May 16. Stay tuned to WWG for all of the latest!
