On May 31, mods went live for the Xbox One version of Fallout 4, and console gamers were finally able to enjoy the world of fan-made content that for years has surrounded Bethesda Softworks PC games, specifically the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. Unfortunately, armor mods in Fallout 4 are quite limited when it comes to the PS4 due to Sony not allowing external assets. This removes around 80% of possible mods, and anything that is remotely unique. This is terrible for PS4 players, as Fallout 4 is a fantastic game, and one that relies heavily on mods.

Lightsaber Renew
Just in time for Star Wars, the Lightsaber Renew mod by invalidfate does exactly what it sounds like: it adds equippable lightsabers to Fallout 4! The lightsabers come in four different colors, have unique equip animations, and even have their own light source. Fight like a Jedi in Fallout 4!

Higher Settlement Budget
If you don't like having a limited budget to build up your settlement, the Higher Settlement Budget mod by GrimTech and PatrickJr is there to remove the cap. Expand!

Functional Weapon Racks
So you've invested a bunch of resources into your settlement, have looted a ton of weapons, and now you just want a place to store your massive arsenal. The Functional Weapon Racks mod by SecretAgent99 lets you do just that.
It doesn't support all the weapons just yet, but the creator is putting out regular updates so it's still pretty cool to grab now. You can find a full list of currently mountable weapons, a download link, and installation instructions on NexusMods.
Beautiful Sanctuary
If you'd rather settle down somewhere a little less apocalyptic, the Beautiful Sanctuary mod by Ciprriano adds a full, pre-war house and forest for you to occupy. It also includes the exterior zone around Vault111 and lets you craft pre-war cars.
The creator has included a pretty big warning to back-up your save files before implementing this one, so exercise caution.

Mini Nuke Minigun
Cool Fallout 4 Mods Ps4
No modding community is really complete without a ridiculous, over-the-top weapon like this one. The Mini Nuke Minigun mod by Bradenm650 switches the ammo type for all of Fallout 4's miniguns into miniature nukes, letting you fire a fully-automatic stream of devastating explosives into your foes. In case you wanted to start the apocalpyse all over again. Bring your sunglasses.

Main Menu Replacer - The Glowing Sea Radstorm
For something a little less intense, here's a simple main menu screen replacement by AudieMurphy135. It depicts a Power Armored-up Sole Survivor in the midst of a radstorm, with music from Fallout 1.
